Digital Audio has been established in 1989 and has since then provided consulting services and project management in
the fields of professional audio and voice communications for industrial environments, transportation, broadcasting corporations and live-sound applications.

In 2011 Digital Audio became limited company extending its services to ATM/ATC (Air Traffic Management/Air Traffic Control) sector of voice communication systems and related equipment for civilian and military users.

Design of front-end equipment and solutions for Ambient/Aural sound's legal recording became a new specialist area. It is combining experience from 50+ years in professional audio and electroacoustic design with 30+ years in voice communication business.

In 2025 new product range of dedicated Symfon ATM/ATC Series of microphones is being designed for Symfon AS
under the supervision of Digital Audio AS. 
Compact Microphone to VoIP converters compatible with existing Legal recording systems are underway.

Ambient sound recording is now mandatory requirement by Eurontrol to be implemented within the end of 2021
